In 2016 I visited The Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University in order to explore the connection between the human consciousness and the body, investigating how it can take the shape of an object. In this case I wanted to compare the connection between the human consciousness and the body with the connection between the chimpanzee’s consciousness and its body. To make the comparison between the human and the chimpanzee I wanted to give the chimpanzee a task, which was to draw a circle on my back.

· The chimpanzee and I are facing each other with a sheet of paper between us.
· I draw with a paint brush a circle on the paper to show the chimpanzee how to draw a circle.
· I give the paint brush to the chimpanzee and the chimpanzee draws a circle on the paper.
· I take the paint brush and draw a circle on the back of the chimpanzee.
· I give the paint brush to the chimpanzee and the chimpanzee draw a circle on my back.

I didn’t get permission to do the task with the chimpanzee.
