In 2016 I visited The Primate Research Institute, Kyoto University in order to explore the connection between the human consciousness and the body, investigating how it can take the shape of an object. In this case I wanted to compare the connection between the human consciousness and the body with the connection between the chimpanzee’s consciousness and its body. To make the comparison between the human and the chimpanzee I wanted to give the chimpanzee a task, which was to draw a circle on my back.

The exhibition was distributed at two levels. At the top level, which was a small room of ten square meters I exhibited a Great Dane. During the exhibiton I was wearing a closed form, through which I could see out, while the viewer was not able to see in. Photo: Louise Rosendal
